You’ve still time to join in the Crickhowell Walking Festival in the Brecon Beacons National Park in Wales, which ends on Sunday (10 March).

The festival features guided walks that are graded, so you should have no problem finding something to suit your ability – from gentle strolls through fields and along the River Usk or the Brecon canal to all-day demanding treks across mountain and moorland.

Walks cost around £7.50 and there are workshops such as landscape photography and map reading plus an artisan fayre on Saturday.

Three recommended camping sites nearby are Riverside Caravan and Camping Park, Cwmdu Campsite and Pyscodyn Farm Caravan and Camping Park.

So park up your campervan, pull on your boots and welcome spring in a truly beautiful part of the world.
