I was a bit sceptical at first, but I like this because you do actually feel it’s cleaning your hands – the gels are all very well, but they always feels like they leave a sticky residue.
Aquaint comes in two sizes – 500ml and a 50ml spray. We were sent the spray to trial and we took it out with us on a walk around Rydal Water and Grasmere in the Lake District.
Once you’ve hauled yourself up a slope using a not-so-dry stone wall or moss-covered branch, you don’t want to eat your butties without cleaning your hands first, and Aquaint did the job well.
There was also no residual taste – in fact, the makers say it is so safe it has passed the official UK drinking water tests.
Aquaint is available from a number of high street shops, including Boots, Ocado and Mothercare, and from aquaint-uk.com.
